Program Teams
CEMI’s success relies on hundreds of contributors from across Cornell’s diverse community—from financial analysts and research administrators to student services staff and IT professionals. These team members represent the complex needs of a major research university operating across multiple campuses and time zones. Their deep understanding of how we work at Cornell—whether in a research lab in Ithaca, a medical facility in Qatar, or a tech startup space in New York City—ensures the full scope of Cornell’s needs are represented as we transform our systems and processes.

As common as possible, as different as necessary

“As common as possible, as different as necessary” is the guiding principle to reflect the CEMI vision for administrative and financial systems across our campuses in Ithaca, New York City, and Doha. Common solutions will allow information to flow seamlessly among campuses, enabling everyone to easily get the answers they need. We’ll maintain unique solutions only where truly necessary.
Community Experts
The Cornell community shapes CEMI’s direction through working groups and many other opportunities to contribute. Some focus on understanding our current processes and how work gets done, while others examine technical aspects about system capabilities and limitations.
- Discovery Groups: Daily users share insights about how existing systems and processes work or have been supplemented with gap applications.
- Stakeholder Committees: Campus leaders provide expertise and vision for the university’s integrated future.
- Technical Teams: Specialists in security, systems, data, and integration plan for smooth implementation.
Shaped by the Cornell Community: Get Involved
Contribute your skills and experience to CEMI (“See Me”). Community members know the current processes and systems best—and what it’s going to take to change how we do things. Please submit the form for your campus to be added to the contributors list and receive quarterly updates:
